Photo Gallery: First Territorial Capital Days, Week 2

Folks enjoyed Week #2 of Chino Valley's First Territorial Capitals Days, starting Thursday with a dinner and movie in Memory Park. On Saturday was the annual 10K Run and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk, hosted by the Chino Valley High School Cross Country team, which is a fundraiser for the team to travel to and race in New York. Also on Saturday was Yavapai College's High Plains Adventure at the Chino campus, which included barrel racing a youth gymkhana, 4-H Club Petting Zoo, hydroponic workshops, canine behavior and performance demos, equine training & safety demos, horseshoeing demos and alternative energy workshops. Many local businesses donated raffle prizes and the proceeds from raffle ticket sales went to the Yavapai College Scholarship Fund. Saturday evening was the FFA Corn Dinner, then on Sunday, Yavapai College continued events with an English and Western Horse Show. All other Territorial Day events were on Week #1, which included the Lions Pancake Breakfast, parade and Activities in the Park.
