Can't fail with bacon, cheese in chicken casserole

Anything with pasta or noodles is always a big hit at my house. How can you go wrong with chicken, cheese and bacon? This flavorful casserole will satisfy everyone.

1 package egg noodles

6 slices bacon

2 tablespoons butter

1 pound chicken tenders, cut into 1-inch pieces

Cheesy Chicken and Bacon Casserole

4 green onions (chopped)

1 package peppered gravy mix

1 cup milk

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 cup chopped cooked asparagus

1 cup chopped cooked carrots

1 cup bread crumbs

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Cook bacon in skillet until crispy, remove, crumble and set aside.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter into the bacon drippings and cook the chicken pieces until cooked through. Add green onions and cook 1 minute longer. Remove chicken and onions from pan. Add gravy mix into drippings and stir, then slowly add milk and broth stirring until smooth and thickened. Add chicken, cheese, veggies and bacon. Stir well, then mix with cooked noodles and spoon into a 2- 3-quart greased baking dish. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, combine with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over noodle mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
