Kathi Sabot Chino Valley Review
Rock-In at the Ranch event featured trail rides, live bands, and demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and blacksmithing. Miniature horses were available for petting and driving carriages. Special Olympics barrel racing and equitation, the Mile High Clydesdales, stick horse races, along with a horseshoe demonstration and clinic, and therapeutic riding in a large covered outdoor ring, entertained the littlest cowboys and cowgirls.
Horses with Heart moved to Chino Valley two years ago, and has been open for one year at the new location. They are proud of their new covered arena, which was partially funded by a grant from the Diamondbacks.
All proceeds will help continue the equine assisted activities and programs, which provide physical, mental and emotional assistance to folks with special needs ranging in ages from 2-80. For more information or to volunteer, call 928-533-9178.
