2/27/2013 9:55:00 AM Priceless Prom Project helps with low cost prom wear
The Priceless Prom Project sponsored by North Star Youth Partnership and Tri-City College Prep High School, makes it possible for area high school students to select free prom outfits and accessories. The donations are new or nearly new and have been donated by generous individuals in the community as a way to lighten the financial burden that attending prom often causes as well as a "pay it forward" recycling project. Dresses, purses, shoes and jewelry are available as well as some tuxedos and suites for boys.
The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at the Old Firehouse Plaza, 220 W. Goodwin St. in Prescott.
North Star, a program of Catholic Charities, is still accepting donations from floral shops and beauty shops for gift cards to be raffled as well as any donations of prom attire.
No pre-registration is necessary for any of the event times. Any high school student wishing to attend can stop by during the hours listed. For additional information, call Diane R. DeLong at 708-7214 or email@example.com.
