Election night on Nov. 6 brought some new faces to local government, including members of the Quail Ridge Domestic Water Improvement District that serves 168 residents of Quail Ridge, Mingus Springs Charter School, and Quail Ridge Park.
Incumbent chairman Roy Sherrard and member Derick Norskog were soundly defeated by newcomers Donald Walski, Harry Paul, and Christopher Peters for three open seats.
The trio, elected to four-year terms, will join board treasurer Bill Hofbauer and current vice-chair David Zelman to round out the five-member board.
Walski said the three ran on a platform of transparency. Walksi said he also would push for more accountability for board members and lower rates for service.
The local board of supervisors, Chino Valley Fire, and Quail Ridge positions all take office in January.
Yavapai County finalized its vote count on Friday, and will canvass votes on Nov. 19.
