The Sundogs, represented by Satesh "Catfish" Athelli, received a plaque in appreciation for their work in the community, such as reading to kids, and for their generosity in giving to community needs.
The program also included a presentation by past board president Dr. Leonda Armstrong on the Chamber's PANE program. PANE stands for Promote, Advocate, Network and Economy, and Armstrong told business members how they can make each component of the program work for their businesses.
"Be a PANE!" she admonished businesspeople at the luncheon, urging them to get involved to grow their businesses.
Local dentist Dr. Frank Nelson was the winner of the Chamber's new promotional program in which he received three minutes to speak about his business, Country Road Dental Care. Another businessperson each month will win 10 minutes on a new Arizona Hometown Radio Program highlighting Chino Valley businesses.
Upcoming Chamber events include a women's business luncheon on Oct. 25, a Family Friendly Halloween Village on Oct. 31, the big Winter Wonderland Gala on Nov. 3 and the annual Hometown Chino Christmas on Dec. 14-15. These events are open the public.
The Chamber is selling tickets now for a raffle donated by Gabby's - two meals each week for a year. Proceeds will benefit the Chamber's student scholarship fund.
