Local interest in model aviation soaring
After Charles Lindbergh's flight in 1927, model aviation started to take off as companies recognized the interest that was taking flight. In the 1940s model airplanes started being built with miniature gas engines and they have only been improving since then, with model aviators across the nation enjoying this hobby.

The Chino Grinder is an endurance cycling event that is scheduled to be run for the third time in Chino Valley on May 7. The Chino Grinder features a 106-mile, 10,000 feet of a climbing rigorous ride to Williams and back on a gravel road.
