Who wouldn't love to see the majestic castles of Germany while floating on the Rhine River, the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean, beautiful Rome where the Renaissance started, or see the lush greenness and learn about the folklore of Ireland and Scotland.

Bee and Michael Hannon of Chino Valley help people get there.

Michael and Bee are travel agents and have owned San Marin Travel for the past 25 years.

"I have been in the travel business since the 1960s," Bee said.

"Bee and I met on a cruise from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I was a sales rep for the cruise line and she was a travel agent," Michael recalled.

Bee and Michael have been in the business ever since except when Bee took a few years off to raise their son, Mike.

"I travel vicariously

through my clients. I get into their trip as we are doing the planning, and I get as excited as they do when it's about time to depart. I love following up with them and their experiences," Michael said.

"I like it because we get a variety, and we get to know our clients and their likes, dislikes, so we know what to suggest. We have clients in 35 states that have been with us for more than 20 years. We not only book ocean cruises but river cruises in Europe and in the states on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, which have a lot of interesting American history," Bee added.

Michael and Bee not only set up travel arrangements for other people, but have traveled extensively themselves all over the world from Fiji, and New Zealand, to Asia and Europe, just to mention a few. In August they will be hosting a cruise from Rome to London, which is one of their favorite destinations.

"London is one of our favorite places not only because we love the food, but the British people are unfailingly polite and welcoming," Michael said, smiling.
