8/1/2012 9:43:00 AM Editorial: Let's hope event is uneventful
Since the Review published a story in our July 25 issue about the Hell's Angels sponsoring a boxing match in Chino Valley, online comments have been vociferous.
After a Hell's Angel's shootout with the Vagos Motorcycle Club in Chino Valley on Aug. 21, 2010, people are understandably concerned about "more than 100 riders and their families from around the state, as well as visiting clubs for inter-club bouts featuring adult boxers."
Organizer Larry Scott acknowledged that some in town won't welcome such a large group of riders.
Scott has asked us to put aside our preconceived notions about the Hells Angels and "come and hang out."
We hope that residents' fears do not come to pass, and the "Boxing Smoker" on Aug. 18 at Doreen's Bar and Grill will be just what Scott has promised, an innocuous community event for all ages.
The community won't take lightly another incident like the one in 2010.

I´m from Berlin Germany, but I used to live in Chino with my Ex-Husband that was 1984 and remember it as quiet little town, now I´m shocked to read that those kind of things are happening there. Here in Berlin we have the Hell´s Angels too and they do the same here. About 3 months ago there was big fight here and one member of the Angels almost got killed. So in other words, who needs them???
