Letter: Sheriff is correct in his stance

Editor:

The oath that Sheriff Mascher took to uphold the constitution rightly pre-empts any mandate to execute laws which violate the Second Amendment. Knowing when to invoke your commitments requires wisdom, honoring those commitments requires integrity and doing so in the face of adversity requires courage. The government, we the people, are thus the fortunate recipients of Sheriff Mascher's service.

LETS SEE IF WE CAN CLEAR SOME OF THIS UP.
FIRST WE HAVE FEDERAL LAWS.
THEN WE HAVE STATE, COUNTY, CITYor TOWN LAWS.
THE SHERIFFS OFFICE CAN ONLY HANDLE THE LAWS WITHIN THE STATE, COUNTY OR CITY. IF ITIS A FEDERAL LAW AND CRIME THEN THE FBI or ICE HANDEL IT. THEY DO NOT, BY LAW STEP ON EACH OTHERS TOES.
