The Cougars ended the regular season on a high note Thursday, winning their final season game against Camp Verde 4-1 in Chino. They now await their playoff fate.

Kiki Cornelio, normally the team's assist man with 15 helpers on the season, scored twice on Thursday, including a left-footed goal in the first half to help Chino to a 1-0 halftime lead. Two second-half goals from Geo Vedolla made it official. Vedolla now has 25 goals on the season.

Div. IV's No. 3-ranked Cougars (17-3, 11-1) earned a first round bye in the State tournament and will see their first tournament action this Saturday, Oct. 27. Chino will play host at 2 p.m. to the winner of Thursday's Phoenix Country Day (No. 6)/ Round Valley (No. 11) matchup.
