Anniversary: Boyd and Virginia Low

Virginia Kay (Hodgeson) and Boyd Eugene Low tied the knot 4 Sept 1952, in their hometown of Millersburg, Ohio. After two kids and Korea, "Gene" and Kay hauled a trailer along Route 66 to S. California in the early 1960s. They built a home together in Riverside, next door to the municipal airport, while Gene worked for 30 years with Webb Assoc. as a draftsman.

Kay excelled in the fiber arts and has created many original quilts and 3-D art. Her best work has graced two gallery showings and recently earned top honors in the Yavapai Co. Fair. Gene took up ceramics and jujitsu, eventually earning a 3rd degree black belt.

Their son, Brian Douglas Low, owns JoyTech Intl., Inc., in Riverside with his wife, Lisa (Prieto). Both Gene and Brian have actively supported the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) at the Riverside Municipal Airport.

Their daughter, Teresa Kay Weil, spent nine years both enlisted and commissioned in the US Air Force, before retiring in 2006 with her husband Col. George E. Weil. in Chino Valley, which prompted Gene and Kay to leave smoggy, crowded Riverside and join them.
