A third person from a Chino Valley family has died after a head on collision Wednesday morning on Outer Loop Road.

Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said Julianna Hersh, 23, Joseph Hersh, 15, Jeremiah Hersh, 13 and Jess Hersh, 9, all of Chino Valley, were traveling in a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo when they were involved in a head on collision with a silver 2007 Subaru driven by 63-year-old Elaine Anderson of Prescott.

Deputies responded about 7:50 a.m. to the accident at milepost 2.5, between Reed Road and Williamson Valley Road. Julianna and Jess (a young girl) were pronounced deceased at the scene, D'Evelyn said. Jeremiah was transported to a hospital in Phoenix, where he later died. Joseph was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Anderson also was flown to Flagstaff and is expected to survive.

Outer Loop Road was closed until Wednesday afternoon.

D'Evelyn said accident reconstruction specialists are investigating the scene, and the cause of the crash is not yet known.

I am so sorry for this familys' loss. I pray God will gather them in his heavenly arms and comfort them as only he can. The three who passed are in the arms of God, safe now and forever. May the parents/family find some peace in this.

Shame on you Bob Davis. You don't know the circumstances and now is not the time to place blame. Have a little compassion and show some heart, and instead reach out with compassion now to both families!! This town needs to be there for all, not torn apart because you have some personal issues going on.

Article comment by: The world is crying today

This family was (and is) absolutely incredible, amazing, generous, loving, kind people. Jules was the most sincere and pure-hearted person I have met. She always greeted with a huge smile and a hug. I am in shock and disbelief that something like this could happen to such beautiful people. This whole world should cry tonight for the loss today. It is so unfair to take such people. I pray for the family, the parents, I can't even imagine the pain. I am so sorry. Your children have touched many in deep and meaningful ways. We will see them again.
