Craig Brown (R) declared winner of county BOS Dist 4 seat. Rowle Simmons (L) announced as winner of Dist 1 office.

Running unopposed after winning the August primary, Craig Brown (R) was officially announced as the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors District 4 winner during the election results rally Tuesday night at the Prescott Resort.

Brown was announced along with Rowle Simmons (Dist. 1), Thomas Thurman (Dist. 2), Chip Davis (Dist. 3), AND Jack Smith (Dist. 5).

Fair representation to the newly formed district, which has Chino Valley as its center, is important to Brown, but following the announcement he said that education and inclusion of the area youth is key to the success of the region.

"Politics at this level is not a party thing," said Brown. "Kids have to get involved in politics, they have to be aware of the issues. It's the only way they are going to learn and make their own choices. We have to give them every opportunity to see how the process works. Once they understand the process they are on their way to being productive citizens."
