DetailsYavapai College and the Coalition for Compassion & Justice (CCJ)* are teaming up to bring the critically acclaimed documentary, "A Place at the Table," to Prescott and northern Arizona. "A Place at the Table" shows how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation and examines the issue of food insecurity through the lens of three people: a single mother in Philadelphia, a 5th grader in Colorado and a 2nd grader in Mississippi. The film also illustrates how food insecurity could be solved once and for all if the American public decides - as they have in the past - that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of all of us. $6 General Admission $3 Students $1 discount with a nonperishable food donation. * The Coalition for Compassion & Justice is a poverty-relief nonprofit organization serving Yavapai County/Arizona.
