Yavapai County Sheriff's Office detectives on Friday arrested and charged Robert Curry, 23, of Chino Valley, with five counts of Sex Conduct with a Minor. He was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center and remains in custody on a $75,000 bond.

During the investigation, detectives consulted with case workers from Child Protective Services and developed information regarding Curry's sexual activity in recent years with numerous underage girls from the Chino Valley area, said Yavapai Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn. Over the course of several months, detectives interviewed several of the girls who identified and confirmed details of their sexual relationships with Curry. A majority of his victims ranged in age from 13 to 16 years, D'Evelyn said. One of the underage victims had a child resulting from the association with Curry. Some victims also shared issues related to abuse and stalking by Curry during their relationship. Victims also noted Curry lied about his age during their initial contact with him, said D'Evelyn.

He said the current charges are based on incidents documented with three victims. Additional charges are likely as detectives have discovered several more potential victims involved with Curry. Detectives also are requesting any victims, or their guardians, who have not yet come forward to please contact Detective Ross Diskin at 928-771-3278.

Look at these comments..WOW. He is an ADULT, what don't you understand about that? That AUTOMATICALLY makes these girls innocent, and him a pedophile, because in this country, his actions are considered a CRIME. Victim-blame, much? One of the girls had a baby at an incredibly young age because of his actions that girl's life is going to be made much harder now. Get over yourselves.

I personally have known Robert since he was a child as well as his sister and family. My kids (girls) know him and also likely know all the girls (the one who had the "alleged" child for sure) who are claiming this alleged sexual conduct/abuse. The "girls" are not 100% innocent victims by any means, and I truly beleive this was a joint effort to "get back" at Robert, etc. I am in no way dismissing the actions of Robert whatever they were, but in no way do I believe it was one sided. I beleive there needs to be some mature adult influence in all of these young kids lives, because I know for a fact it is missing and what there is, is a far cry from the ideal role models. I don't claim to know each situation fact for fact, but do know that there is so much more to what is being printed and displayed, all are entitled to their thoughts/opinions, but in the end all we have is the hope and prayers that the full truths of all key "players" are brought to the surface and accountable.
